This is the fuel tanker that brought us many thousands of gallons of fuel which is used to power the entire station. The station which is here in the name of noble scientific pursuits like say the study of global warming, for instance. Don't think about it too much, just nod your head.The three day fuel offload is most commonly referred to as "tanker" by the locals. I like tanker because it is a reminder that the season is coming to an end and also because this sign always makes me laugh.
